President Lyndon Johnson used this aircraft from 1968 until 1973 while at his home in Texas.

Originally, the Sabre Liner (USAF designation T-39) was developed by North American aviation as a twin jet utility trainer. This type of aircraft was successfully converted for the commercial market as an executive jet transport.
